We've answered some of the most common questions about Mobiu below. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, please email us at support@3dmobiu.com.

How do I know my data is safe?

Mobiu provides safe Chip and PIN encrypted access to any files you upload to our secure online server.

Why is our system so safe?
Mobiu uses a patented hardware-based security token - the SIMAssuredâ„¢ Technology Platform - which provides substantial "bomb-proof" protection from external interference and interceptions.

How do I back up my PC with Mobiu?

The first time you plug in your Mobiu key a simple setup wizard will prompt you to select the local files that you want to back-up. Once you have done this, Mobiu will automatically back them up for you - at first you'll need to leave your PC on and online while it makes the initial back up in the background, but once you have done this, back-up is automatic and un-noticed. You won't have to remember to do it again!

How do I add more users?

There can only be one registered user per key. For multiple users you will need to register as an Organisation and appoint an administrative Super-User who will have rights to manage the number of keys purchased.

How easy is retrieval of stored data?

When you plug in your Mobiu key and enter your PIN code you will see all your files. These files will remain synchronised with the backed up PC. If the PC you are using crashes and if it can be recovered then the synchronisation will automatically restore the data for you. If it is a new PC then there is a restore function that will re-load your data onto the new PC.

How do I restore my data to my PC or Mobiu?

Simply plug in your Mobiu key to your base PC, log-in and click on Restore and follow the instructions.

How do I change my PIN?

You can change your PIN simply by clicking on the "Change my PIN" icon in the Mobiu Key navigation bar.

Is there a user licence agreement after the first year?

Yes there is.

How secure is the information if the Mobiu key gets lost or stolen?

Very. When the key is reported lost or stolen we block its access to the data and wipe data stored on the stick itself. When you plug your replacement key in you will be linked back to all your data again.
